Two children and an adult were beaten by a driver outside a preschool in a southern Carolina church in what could have been an intentional act, authorities said.
After a hunt for an hour, the suspect was arrested, police said.

The accident occurred shortly before the 1 PM on Thursday at the Sunrise Presbyterian Church on the island of Sullivan, a city of Playa on the outskirts of Charleston, police said.
There was no altercation before the incident, according to the police sergeant of Isle of Palms. Matt Storen.
A child and an adult were taken to the hospitals and the third victim was treated at the scene and released, police said. Since then, the child taken to the hospital has been discharged, according to a spokesman from the University of Medicine of South Carolina.

Police identified The suspect as Justin Collin Adams.
It was found in a boat on the island of Sullivan, said the head of the island of Sullivan, Glenn Meadows.
He was arrested about five hours after the accident.

The suspect left his sedan after the accident and believed he was on foot and armed with a knife after the accident, according to Storen.
The human hunt included searches in the grid of houses, drones scanning the sky and the control points at the entrance to the island of Sullivan, police said. The FBI and the American bailiffs were involved in the search, police said.
