President Donald Trump responded on Monday for the first time to the attack against a multitude of Pro-Israel protesters in Boulder, Colorado.

“Yesterday’s horrible attack in Boulder, Colorado, will not be tolerated in the United States of America,” Trump wrote on his conservative social media platform.

“The acts of terrorism will be processed to the maximum extension of the law. This is another example of why we must keep our borders safe and deport illegal and anti -American radicals of our homeland. My heart is to the victims of this terrible tragedy and the great people of Boulder, Colorado!” The president added.

Eight people were injured on Sunday what the FBI is calling an “act of terror.”

The suspect, Mohamed Sabry Soliman, was supposedly heard screaming “free Palestine” while throwing an “makeshift flamethrower” in a demonstration to raise awareness about the remaining hostages in Gaza, according to the authorities.

Boulder police said the reason for the attack has not yet been established.

The National Security Department said on Monday that they are illegally in the United States as its B2 Visa, which is generally a tourism visa, expired in February 2023. Soliman had also requested asylum in 2022.

Soliman received a work permit after his B2 Visa expired, a senior official told ABC News. That work permit expired on March 28, so it has been in the country illegally since then, said the official.

While Trump took the fact that the alleged attacker was in the country illegally, the president did not mention anti -Semitism in his statement.
