Sabalenka defeated Swiatek 7-6 (1), 4-6, 6-0 in the semifinals in this year’s tournament.
Last summer in Roland Garros, Gound made history during the 2024 Olympic Games, becoming the youngest American woman to win a singles match in the Olympic Games from Venus Williams in 2000, according ESPN.
